The Sacred Art of Nepal
A breathtaking collection of traditional Thangka paintings from Nepal. The show, which runs from February 1, 2025, through May 25, 2025, offers a rare opportunity to experience these intricate and spiritually significant works of Himalayan art right here in Door County. The exhibition is curated by the Public Arts Initiative (PAI) of Egg Harbor and Will Carpenter, a Door County resident whose travels to Nepal ignited a deep appreciation for the sacred art form. Thangka paintings, known for their vibrant colors and profound spiritual symbolism, are traditionally used as aids in meditation and religious practices. Carpenter’s passion for these works inspired him to bring this collection to his home community, offering an intimate glimpse into the artistry and culture of Nepal.
