A Walk in the Woods

A nature-inspired group exhibition celebrating the magic of Door County’s forests and trails.

This exhibition brings together photography, glass, moss art, painting, and hand-carved wood to celebrate the textures, colors, and overlooked details of our local trails and natural spaces. Featuring photographs by Dave Heilman, blown-glass mushrooms by Chelsea Littman, moss art by florist-artist Tracy Melger, paintings by Helen Delguidice, photography by Arlene Stangler, and hand-carved walking sticks by John Cahill, the show reflects a shared reverence for the natural world. Many of the works highlight moss-covered forest floors, hidden mushrooms, filtered light, and intimate woodland details—encouraging viewers to slow down and notice the often- missed beauty beneath their feet. Together, these artists offer unique interpretations of nature, craftsmanship, and place. A Walk in the Woods is both a celebration of Door County’s natural beauty and an invitation—to wander, to notice, and to be inspired.
