Spring Fling

Artist Statement:
One of the greatest entertainments in the spring on the smaller dairy farm is when the cows are let out in the pasture after being in the warm barn all winter. If you ever get the chance. Be there!
Watching the cows feeling the freedom of the fresh spring air run, buck, kick, butt heads and itch and scratch the places they couldn't reach while in the stanchions will make you smile and laugh with the cows.
It will blow your mind to see cows move and udders flapping in ways you never knew they could!

About the Artist
Larry Schultz
Larry Schultz is a Wisconsin-born artist whose work reflects his deep connection to nature and the outdoors. Influenced by his early fascination with the intricate details of his surroundings—from blades of grass to the texture of aged wood—Larry developed a lifelong passion for capturing creation on paper and canvas. Encouraged by his mother’s simple drawings and his natural talent, he pursued his interest in art through grade school and advanced his education with degrees in Commercial Art and Art Education. Larry’s artistic career spans teaching, conducting painting workshops, designing murals for homes and public spaces, and participating in juried exhibitions. His award-winning work has been featured on magazine covers, posters, and fine art prints and is held in public and private collections across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Working in a variety of mediums, Larry finds his greatest joy in oil painting, where he balances intimacy and emotion with the detail and mood of his subjects, including landscapes, animals, and portraits. His creativity extends to life-sized sculptures, theatrical sets, and murals, including contributions to Madison's Cows on Parade and Buckys on Parade. Larry’s art invites viewers to connect with the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
